Front 242 cancelled

Dear NCN festival visitors and fans of Front 242,

as many of you may have already read, the Belgian electro giants Front 242 decided to take a break and not to perform in Europe after the 1st of May 2012 until further notice. This statement means a significant setback for our small festival.
On the one hand we understand the band since there are good reasons for this decision, on the other hand it is a great disappointment for many fans.
To be honest, in our view there is no suitable substitute for Front 242. But once the band is ready to come back on tour, they will probably like to make up for the now cancelled show at the NCN. But until then we have no choice but to practice patience.
Today we received many emails and phone calls asking if we will cancel the festival now. This we will definitely NOT do. Each year we seek to arrange a good mixture of large and small acts for the festival, and we are sure it will again succeed in 2012.
In the last six years there were only a few bands that appeared twice at the NCN and this will continue in the future. We will try to avoid annual repetitions in the lineup so that you can enjoy coming again to the festival every year.
Please give me and my team some time to reschedule - and you will see that the NCN 2012 will offer you again a varied program in a family atmosphere.
We thank you for your understanding. We wish Front 242 all the best for the future and hope to be able to welcome the band at the NCN at a later date.
